Aer Lingus welcomes in the winter months with three new routes available to fly from Dublin and Cork, offering Irish passengers even more choice over the festive season and into the winter period. These new services demonstrate the airline’s commitment to providing a variety of travel opportunities to customers seeking access to Europe’s most popular ski resorts and idyllic city breaks.

New Winter Routes from Dublin and CorkDublin to Turin: Gateway to the Italian AlpsFrom Dublin, Aer Lingus will commence weekly Sunday flights to Turin starting on 21st December 2025. Turin, located in Italy’s picturesque Piedmont region, is renowned not only for its stunning cityscape but also for being a prime access point to some of the best ski resorts in Europe. Ski enthusiasts will find themselves just a short trip away from the renowned Via Lattea (Milky Way) Ski Resort, Pila, and Bardonecchia, offering an abundance of slopes for all levels of skiers and snowboarders.

Beyond the slopes, Turin is also a treasure trove of cultural delights, including its historical architecture, rich museums, and world-class dining. Visitors can enjoy the city’s stylish cafés, walk through its grand boulevards, or visit the famous Egyptian Museum, one of the most significant of its kind outside of Cairo.

With weekly flights throughout the winter season, the Sunday service will make it easier for both adventure seekers and cultural enthusiasts to enjoy all that Turin has to offer, from its breathtaking mountains to its historic heart.

Cork to Geneva: Connecting to the Swiss AlpsAlso beginning on 20th December 2025, Aer Lingus will launch a new Saturday service from Cork to Geneva, Switzerland. This new route offers direct access to the Swiss Alps, positioning Geneva as an ideal hub for winter sports lovers. Known for its luxurious resorts, the region provides access to some of the most iconic ski areas in the world, including Chamonix, a place where skiers and mountaineers have flocked for decades. The nearby resort town of Morzine is another excellent destination, boasting a plethora of ski runs set against the stunning backdrop of the Alps.

Beyond its winter sports offerings, Geneva is also famous for its cosmopolitan charm, being home to international organizations and a vibrant arts scene. Visitors can enjoy the city’s well-manicured parks, take in the breathtaking views of Lake Geneva, or shop in its high-end boutiques.

The addition of this route opens up the Swiss Alps to Irish travellers, offering convenient access to both the ski slopes and the cultural attractions of Geneva itself.

Cork to Prague: A Winter Wonderland of Markets and CultureAer Lingus is also launching a new service from Cork to Prague, which will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays starting on 23rd October 2025. Known for its fairy-tale ambiance, Prague is a must-visit destination for those seeking an enchanting winter experience. The city’s Christmas markets, set against the backdrop of its stunning medieval architecture, draw thousands of visitors every year.

This route is also a gateway to the Czech Republic’s top ski resort, Špindleruv Mlýn, located in the Krkonoš Mountains. Skiers can explore over 25 kilometers of slopes, while the surrounding area offers picturesque hiking routes for non-skiers to enjoy.
